A Key to Accessing Electronic Resources

STUDENTS: 

Students must use their Student ID number and PAN to activate their MSU NetID. If you are a student and do not know your PAN, you can find it in your applicant portal. Please note, there may be a 5-7 days delay from your acceptance before the PAN becomes available on the portal. 

 

EMPLOYEES

A PIN is required to activate a NetID for the first time. You can request your PIN one of three ways:
  1. Call the MSU ID Office at 517-355-4500 during our business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-4:45pm EST) and someone from our team will give you your PIN over the phone if your paperwork has been fully processed by HR
  2. Visit the MSU ID Office and someone from our team will give you a document with your PIN on it (please call our office first to make sure your paperwork has been fully processed by HR before visiting our office)
  3. Your department may submit an online PIN request on your behalf here. Please note, it may take 2-5 business days to process the request after Central HR completes the hiring paperwork.
